Human Spirit recording at Earshot Jazz Festival
Human Spirit, my group with trumpeter Thomas Marriott and drummer Matt Jorgensen, will be recording a live record at the Earshot Jazz Festival on October 14-15.
Joining us will be Orrin Evans on piano and Essiet Essiet on bass. We are recording both sets for a 2012 release on Origin Records, so come down and be a part of the record!

Jazz Port Townsend and More….
Fun weekend of music coming up!
On Saturday July 30th, I’ll be playing with an All-Star big band at Jazz Port Townsend premiering a new piece by Bill Holman featuring Paquito d’Rivera…and then playing with Human Spirit at the Undertown that evening.
Sunday the 31st, I’ll be back in Seattle with Wayne Horvitz for the Racer Sessions
Monday August 1st, I’ll be at Tula’s with Pete Christlieb’s 11 piece band “Tall and Small”
